Up for auction is a Original paint 1920 sport model W Harley Davidson Opposed. This Rare motorcycle has been in storage for more than 35 years,it is 98% complete and is in it's original paint "Olive Drab" This model was available from 1919 to 1923 4 year's only !it is 93 years old.the motor has compression and kicks thru ,but I have not attempted to start it.It is missing the rear chain,the mag wire and mag pick-up,a piece of linkage from the mag to the frame junction block .The front fork upper left brace is detached at the bottom and the right gas tank has a lead in repair ,all is viewable in the pictures.I do have the inclosed 3 piece chain guard.This motor cycle is being sold has is with no warranties expressed or implied. shipping is the buyers responsibility. Louisiana Bill Updates Maximum Handlebar Height Legislation
Thu, 17 May 2012Louisiana state lawmakers have approved a bill that would change the maximum height of motorcycle handlebars. Current state law restricts handlebar height to no more than 15 inches above the seat, a somewhat arbitrary level, but a common choice with 17 other states. The House has voted 87-0 in favor of Senate Bill 582 to change the maximum height to the rider’s shoulder level, as measured while sitting on the seat.
Harley-Davidson and Brando Estate Settle Boot Suit
Tue, 06 Mar 2012The estate of Marlon Brando and Harley-Davidson have reached a settlement in a civil suit over the use of the actor’s name. As reported last May, the dispute was over a leather riding boot Harley-Davidson sold as “The Brando”. The suit sought an injunction for Harley-Davidson to stop using the Brando name, and asked for unspecified damages.
