Harley-Davidson FL description

 This is a one own chopper which I chopped in 1971. It have taken it across country and never had any problem with it breaking down. I will list some of the mechanical work that has been done.

Rebuilt upper end with new valves and spring.
New pistons .020 over
Transmission was total rebuilt all new bearing and seals with Andrew Gears.
Transmission case and ratchet top have been chromed.

New SS super bee carb
New 6 volt battery

Owner of Tsunami-Tossed Harley-Davidson Found in Japan

Harley-Davidson representatives in Japan have identified the owner of the motorcycle lost in last year’s tsunami but later found on a remote beach in Canada. The 29-year-old owner, Ikuo Yokoyama, lives in Yamamoto, Japan, in Miyagi Prefecture, the region hardest hit by the 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami. Yokoyama survived the disaster but lost three family members and is still living in temporary accommodations.

NHTSA Launches Recall Look-up by VIN Tool

The U.S. Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have launched a new free online tool that should make it easier for consumers to inspect their vehicles’ safety recall histories. The new search tool, available at http://www.safercar.gov/vinlookup, allows people to look for recall campaigns by entering Vehicle Identification Numbers.
