Cruiser This is a Custom. Its rather a unique motorcycle in the respect that this particular combination of engine and transmission was only made 1 yr. was the 1st year for the 6 gear transmission and it was only available on the FXD DYNA Super Glide. was also the last year for the 88ci engine. In 2007 they went to the 96ci engine in all their motorcycles and a lot of people started having overheating issues. Also in 2007 they put the 6 gear transmission in all their bikes. So if you wanted a 6 gear transmission without all the overheating issues associated with the 96ci engine, then this was the only year and the only model is was available. This bike has a Custom Paint Set that was only available from the Custom Shop. Its number 29 out of 150. They only made 150 of this particular paint set and at the time it was a 3000k Option. I bought the bike brand new and in the 6yrs I have owned it. I have never seen another 1 like it. It came with a Custom Danny Gray Seat with gold stitching to match the Custom paint set. This bike is bone stock and has never had anything done to it except for the small back rest I had them put on for the wife before I picked it up. I also added a set of forward pegs so I would have a different place to put my feet and stretch my legs out every once in a while. The bike has factory mid controls. This is the 1st bike I have ever owned with Fuel Injection and its Great! Turn on the key, wait for the fuel pump to build up pressure, hit the starter button, wait for the Oil Light to go out and drive away. No Fuel Valves to turn on and No Choke to mess with. No Warm Up Necessary. It has the custom factory mag wheels and the large front forks. I am thinking they are 41mm but I am not exactly sure. It has around 8500mis on it and is just getting broken in good. The bike runs very well and is in good condition. Dyna are the best handling big bikes that makes. This thing handles great and has never been hotrodded or abused. I do not ride it much anymore as I have got a little custom ridgid I built that I ride most of the time. 46,061 Motorcycles Stolen in US in 2012
Mon, 25 Nov 2013An average of 126 motorcycles were stolen in the U.S. every day in 2012, according to a report released by the the National Insurance Crime Bureau. That’s from a total of 46,061 motorcycles reported stolen that year a 1.3% improvement from the 46,667 motorcycles reported stolen in 2011.
2012 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Industry Reports 2.6% Increase

Vespa goes back to the future
Thu, 22 Nov 2012IT'S been a while coming, but the gorgeous Vespa 946 - EICMA 2012's Best of Show - has finally introduced something to the two-wheeled world that our four-wheeled counterparts have had for a while. I call this 'reverse retro-futurism' - the art of borrowing lines from models past and imbuing them with a sleek sense of future direction (as opposed to retro-futurism, the pre-1960s design trend of depicting the technology of the future. The term 'decopunk' may come close, but feel free to tell me if there's a more exact term.) It's what the New Mini and the New Beetle (both 1997 and 2012 versions) have done so well, and so successfully: building an all-new model as a tribute to a classic, something that's modern yet already timeless, with a widely-appreciated, inclusive aesthetic (and here we eliminate the Plymouth PT Cruiser from the conversation). The biking world is great at retro, indeed thrives on it, but not so good at adding in a taste of the 21st century.
