Harley-Davidson Dyna description

2009 Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide Custom FXD, Looking good down the boulevard and riding economical down the highway is the perfect balance that the simple and custom Super Glide models achieve as both represent the original American style without the original fuel consumption. Now, thanks to the six-speed Cruise Drive transmission that Harley fits on the bikes, claimed highway mpg is 54 and taking in consideration the 4.8 gallons tank capacity (5.0 gallons on the Custom model) too, traveling range is excellent.FXDC Super Glide Custom features:Vibration isolated Twin Cam 96 engine6-speed Cruise Drive transmissionSilver powder-coated engine with chrome treatmentTwo-up ribbed seatMini pullback handlebarNew silver-faced speedometer with range countdownNew low profile front fenderNew fuel sender5.1-gallon Fat Bob fuel tankChrome Staggered Shorty Dual exhaust160 mm-17 rear / 100 mm-19 front tiresChrome Laced steel wheels 19-inch front / 17-inch rear29-degree fork angleWrap-around rear fenderConsole-mounted speedometerChrome tank console with leather strapMid-mount foot controls

Harley-Davidson and Marvel surprised fans at the premiere of Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier in Hollywood, by inviting them onto the red carpet after it closed. Fans at the event were spontaneously selected to walk and experience the official red carpet and to check out a brand new Street 750 motorcycle along with the stars of the film, who autographed the bike for charity. The Winter Soldier star Chris Evans signs a new Harley-Davidson Street 750 at the premiere in Hollywood, CA.  Following the premiere, Harley-Davidson will donate the bike to Concord Youth Theatre. On January 9, 2014, during the fourth annual Las Vegas Sale of motorcycles at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, Bonhams, the world’s largest auction house for cars, motorcycles and memorabilia, will be auctioning off over 50 motorcycles from the extensive Wayne Pierce family museum collection, all offered at no reserve. Among the machines is a first-year Harley-Davidson Sportster believed to be the 10th XL883 produced in 1957, a 1933 Harley VLE police bike that saw actual duty on the streets of Chicago before being cast in the 1987 Kevin Costner gangster movie, “The Untouchables,” and an authentic and unrestored 1947 Harley Knucklehead wearing period aftermarket accessories. Wayne “Pappy” Pierce started his Harley-Davidson dealership in 1957, run out of a one-room tin shed in DeKalb, Illinois.
