Ducati Supersport description

2005 Ducati Supersport 800, AMA Endurance built SS800 Track bike - This bike was built to run in the AMAs MOTO ST endurance series a few years ago. A GOOD Supersport build was done to the motor at that time.. blueprint, valves, etc, and a custom 2 into 1 undertail exhaust lets the engine roar. A dry clutch conversion was completed at that time to allow for quick clutch replacements at the track. Front suspension was built by GP suspension and both ends feature endurance quick change set ups for wheel/tire swaps during the races. The rear subframe was set up to run a 916 tail and is set up for quick release using Dzus fasteners. If you are looking for a well built race/track bike to have some serious fun with, this is it. Lightweight and nimble, this bike will rail the turns.

Ducati Hypermotard with Zero Emissions

Sun, 10 May 2015

Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali was amazed by an electric bike that he saw at one of his company's Thai dealerships the other day. It turned out that the dealer sells within the walls of his center not only Ducati motorcycles, but also Zero emissions electric bikes. However, the latter didn't sell very well, and he decided to attract buyers by building a test-drive e-bike with Ducati Hypermotard looks and some Zero FX parts and reasoning that it would be easier to send a customer to the track in a Ducati, and only then transfer to Zero.

So that's why he's called RANDY de Puniet

Tue, 20 Jul 2010

RANDY de Puniet may well have just been ejected from his LCR Honda RC212V MotoGP racer during qualifying for Sunday's Sachsenring GP but that ain't gonna stop him from bringing one of the company perks with him to Dr Costa's on-circuit surgery. The Frenchman crashed during qualifying after hitting oil and water spilled on track by Jorge Lorenzo's Fiat Yamaha, after it spewed its guts along almost the entire length of the start finished straight. Following the crash De Puniet was whisked away on a stretcher with a suspected broken foot.

1199R: wrapped and ready

Tue, 12 Mar 2013

Here's a pic from inside the Ducati factory in Bologna. These Ducati 1199R Panigales are destined for the USA; the bikes are being shipped to Texas for the 1199R launch at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA). The picture above reminds me of the picture on the right, which was one of the first wallpapers I had on my PC way back in 1997.
