Ducati Supersport description
- Whats its condition? Any damages?
- The condition of the bike is great. There are a few issues that keep me from being able to say it's excellent. First, the lower fairing (the small portion at the very bottom of the bike below the exhaust) is cracked. I bought it in this condition and I'd hazard to guess that it happened when the previous owner tried to ride over a particularly high speedbump. As he was likely heavier than me (he was in his 50s), he probably bottomed the bike out a little. This crack is not noticable unless you are actually under the bike. Because of this (and because the fairings, especially in this color, are expensive), I never replaced it. Additionally, there is a small (quarter-sized) paint flake on the right rear seat-panel; however, this is an easy fix and I'm more than happy to order the paint and either fix it myself or supply it along with the bike for you to manage. Alternatively, I can take a little off the price to compensate for this. Otherwise, there are no dents or blemishes on the bike. It has never been laid-down or crashed.
- When have you been using it ?
- I have commuted with the bike for the last five years, approximately 15 miles/day. The bike has made a 100 mile trip once in the five years I've had it but has otherwise spent all of its road-time in my local area. I bought the bike with approximately 8000 miles on the odometer and it has roughly 16000 miles clocked now.
- Do you have the title in hand ?
- I do have the title in hand and it is in my name. The title is clear.
- Are you the original owner ?
- I am not the original owner. There was one owner before me - a mid-50s local resident. The bike has never seen a rider other than myself in the five years since I purchased it from Hattiesburg cycles. Also, rest assured, this bike has not been "ragged-out" by a young guy chasing speed.
The front tire was replaced less than a month ago. The rear tire has plenty of life left on it. The headlight bulb was replaced roughly a year ago, after I returned from Germany, as the old bulb was dim. I replaced the handlebar grips roughly two months ago. Everything else on the bike is stock. Additionally, the bike comes with two helmets (one full - size large - for men and the second a half-helmet - size small - for women). The women's helmet has been worn once, so is practically new. Also, the bike comes with the original and complete toolkit that resides under the seat. Below I've included the original bike specifications:
Max power | 64 bhp | Max torque | 44 ft-lb | Top speed | 127 mph | 1/4-mile acceleration | 12.4 secs | Average fuel consumption | 45 mpg | Tank range | 142 miles |
Engine size | 748cc | Engine type | 4v V-twin, 5 gears | Frame type | Tubular steel trellis | Fuel capacity | 748 litres | Seat height | 815mm | Bike weight | 183kg | Front suspension | None | Rear suspension | Preload, rebound, compression | Front brake | Twin 320mm discs | Rear brake | 245mm disc | Front tyre size | 120/70 x 17 | Rear tyre size | 160/60 x 17 |
Thanks for the interest.

After four years away, former racer turned team manager, Davide Tardozzi, is back with the Ducati brand. This time he will be in charge of the organization and logistics of the Italian squad in the MotoGP World Championship. The former Bimota racer had a very successful career as Ducati team manager in Superbike, collaborating with champions of the caliber of Fogarty, Bayliss, Corser, Toseland and Hodgson, and contributing to the conquest of seven rider’s titles in the production-based racing series.

I spotted this for sale on another website. It's not every day one of these comes up for sale. And there's probably a reason for that - not everyone needs to do 130mph on sand...

Although UDReplicas Dark Knight motorcycle suit has been available for a while now, a recent 'on-bike' review was posted online for the first time last week.
This capeless crusader thinks that Batman would ride a Ducati 749 Dark (I guess when the Bat Pod is being serviced). Just don't plan on breaking down, the utility belt doesn't have enough room for a mobile.
