For Sale: 2009 Ducati 1198; 4060 miles. New Motul Full Synthetic done at 3000 miles. The bike originally came from Ducati of Charlotte. I am the second owner; bought it with 750 miles in 2010. The bike is in great mechanical condition. However, it was lowsided at NJMP; light rash on the tank, JB welded the front stay; body was from Ebay with the wrong model number stated as 1098. This is a 1198. I have a brand new left lower for $100 extra and full stock original body as is for $500 extra. Rear left turning signal fell off during riding.
You will get the Owner's Manual, 2 keys, Key Card. Clean Title and one of the fastest bikes made.

Being a new design for Ducati, where the Superquadro engine is the main stressed member of the chassis, meant a significant amount of testing was required to prepare the bike for battle. Wed, 28 Sep 2011Ducati is pricing its new Streetfighter 848 at $12,995, the same price as the 2011 848 EVO and $2,000 less than the original 1099cc Streetfighter. The new 2012 Ducati Streetfighter 848 is equipped with a Testastretta Evoluzione engine similar to the one powering the 848 EVO but tuned to produce a claimed 132 hp and 69 ft-lb. (compared to the s848′s 140hp and 72.3 ft-lb.) In comparison, the 1199cc Streetfighter has a claimed output of 155 hp and 85 ft-lb.
World Ducati Week 2012 Draws 65,000 Fans
Mon, 25 Jun 2012Ducati announced a record 65,000 fans attended its World Ducati Week 2012 celebration, with fans from around the world gathering in the Misano Circuit to celebrate the Italian brand. The record crowd took in the entertainment including test rides, live music and feted Ducati’s MotoGP and World Superbike racers. One highlight was the drag race featuring some of Ducati’s current racers and retired WSBK Champion Troy Bayliss.
