Ducati Superbike description

I have a very clean and great looking and running 2008 Ducati 1098. The bike is all stock with a 1098s stock exhaust on it. This bike is a theft recovery bike that was recovered and paid out/salvaged by the insurance company. During the process, all paperwork was lost and this bike will not come with a title. I've run the vin and it came up clean as far as never being in an accident so the frame, forks, subframe and wheels are straight and true. When the hike was recovered, it had most of the plastics taken off and what remained was damaged along with some other missing parts and that is why the totaled it out. There is no evidence of a crash so I don't think the bike was ever laid down. Once I got the bike, I installed all brand new plastics along with replacing all items that were missing ie: seat, shifting levers, mirrors, and some hardware. This bike would be a great track bike for someone looking to get something inexpensive to run on the track and not worry as much about dings and scratches from track use or if you happen to lay it down on the track.

It is possible to title this bike to use on the road and I have contacted a titling agency that said they would be able to do it for about $200 because it had been totaled out and is eligible for a re-title. You could also try and go through the state of Vermont as it is one of the easiest states to re-title a motorcycle and the titling agency goes through Vermont as well and what they do is give you a transferable title so you can transfer to the state you live in unless it's Vermont lol.

I am selling the bike as is with no warranty and it will not come with a title so don't expect one. I am hoping someone buys it that's looking for a sweet, clean, straight track bike and knows what a nice clean bike like this is worth for the track. I am also selling this local so I will end the auction early if it sells locally. I will set a reserve but it will be a very reasonable reserve based on the going rate of a nice bike like this. I've seen a few older and/or smaller engine track bikes with no ability to legal get titled go lately for just over 5k if that's any indication of where I'm setting the reserve. Thanks for looking!!

Prince William The Duke Of Ducs And Other Motorcycles

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, visited Britain’s largest motorcycle show, Motorcycle Live, at the National Exhibition Center in Birmingham. The visit saw the Duke astride numerous motorcycle models including UK icons Norton and Triumph as well as a Ducati 1199 Superleggera (one of the few men able to afford the $70,000 rarity). During his visit Prince William enjoyed a display of off-road riding – one of nine opportunities for visitors to ride at Motorcycle Live, eight of which are inside the halls of the NEC. He also met Dean Linehan, exhibitions director of MCI Exhibitions, the company that organizes the annual motorcycle exhibition.

Nuggets from Estoril

Tue, 03 May 2011

HRC Executive Vice President Shuhei Nakamoto and Ducati General Director Filippo Preziosi attracted some major media attention as they enjoyed a lengthy but very public chat in the Estoril paddock. Some speculated they were chewing the fat over Stoner’s brilliance now that even Rossi is struggling to get close to the podium on the D800cc Ducati. Others had no doubt it was the rule change for Moto GP machines moving to 1000cc in 2012 that was being debated.
