Ducati 848. 2008 year model. Excellent condition. 7533 miles. This Ducati starts easily and runs perfectly. it is services about every 500 miles or after every track day. It is cosmetically exceptionally nice with no cracks in any of the bodywork. It is however primarily a track bike. It is not represented as a show bike. There are very minor blemishes from normal use. This bike has never been down. It has never been crashed or even tipped over. There are absolutely no scrapes on rearsets, bars or levers that would indicate a slide or tip over. Extensive work to lighten this bike to 387 lbs with fuel, track ready with LiPo battery (LiPo not used for street). Lighter and higger spec brakes and suspension than the Ducati Superleggera Ohlins FGR900 Superbike fork kit. Ohlins steering damper Ohlins TTX36 rear shock Brembo true monobloc 4 piston 2 pad calipers with titanium piston and pins Brembo 16RCS clutch master, Brembo 19 RCS front brake master. EICMA 2012: Ducati Unveils Track-Oriented 1199 Panigale R for WSBK Homologation
Mon, 12 Nov 2012Ducati has unveiled a new R version of its 1199 Panigale, providing an upgraded version of the sportbike for World Superbike homologation. Unveiled at the 2012 EICMA Show, the 2013 Ducati 1199 Panigale R is based on the S model but with lighter components, ABS standard, a higher-revving engine, an adjustable swingarm pivot and full race kit. The Panigale R’s 1198cc engine receives new titanium con-rods Ducati claims shaves 1.38 pounds off the overall weight.
Son joyrides his dad's Ducati 996 SPS...And crashes!
Fri, 28 Mar 2014According to the son (who uploaded the video), his parents - including his dad who owns the 996 SPS - were away on holiday. So off he goes on his short test ride, 50 metres down the road and he's stacked it, apparently there was a small oil leak which caused him to crash. What he doesn't mention is that you can see 37 seconds in that he forgot to put the kickstand up, there's also a nice trail of kickstand-shaped evidence scratched along the road too.
