Ducati Superbike description

Time to part with my beautiful Ducati. This project has been my passion for about 4 years now but with 4 kids and so many different projects in the works one of them has to go. So I am offering up a one of a kind bike to the right person. The bike features some incredible one of parts, turns more heads than any supercar I've owned and is a super huge rush to drive. The bike started off as a clean title Ducati 749 but is now boasting a 999cc motor.

Features on the bike are as follows:
  • 12k weave carbon fairings, custom made and clearcoated. Real carbon not fiber glass. They are the race plastics to keep things smooth I created a lighting combination to work around the lack of cutouts. The body is in near flawless condition.
  • Arete Americana subframe anodized gold
  • Arete Americana tail section painted a deep metallic black
  • Carbon fiber seat pan with custom made leather and suede seat cover
  • Oberon turn signal mirrors
  • Brand new MIchelin Pilot Tires
  • Dual color Ducati wheels
  • Heavy duty aluminum sprocket with gold and black chain
  • All billet controls including billet clip on bars
  • Powercommander with custom tune (126 rwhp)
  • Bike weight of around 370lbs
  • Carbon belt covers in perfect condition
  • Billet short shifter
  • Billet dry clutch cover, start holder and new clutch disks
  • lightweight flywheel
  • Race filters
  • Oil cooler delete
  • 1200 lumen billet and gold headlights made by Heretic Studio
  • Polished Brembo calipers with new pads and floating rotors
  • Full stainless TIG welded exhaust
  • Blacked out swingarm with Rizoma stand lifters
  • Tinted visor
Countless hours were spent on the bike. I am not desperate to sell and have the title in hand. Message me with any more questions!

Casey Stoner's trick kart

Thu, 19 Apr 2012

The other day Casey Stoner tweeted this shot of this factory looking kart, which the reigning champion has been customising during the MotoGP downtime between Qatar and Jerez. Stoner became hooked on karting after taking part in the ice-race at the Ducati/Ferrari Vrooom event in 2009, beating F1 driver Felipe Massa in the process. Not only a hobby, Casey uses karting for training, as the Australian says there are physical benefits as well as to his reflexes.

Best Helmet Designs from the 2009 MotoGP Season

Thu, 22 Oct 2009

Unlike with most athletes, motorcycle racers’ faces remain hidden during competition. Except for promotional events or pre- and post-race interviews, the faces of our racing heroes are shielded under protective helmets with tinted visors. You don’t see the same human emotion in their faces like you can when soccer players score a goal or baseball players hit a home run.

WSBK 2013: Moscow Race Report

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

Marco Melandri captured his third win of the season, the Ducati 1199 Panigale scored its first podium while Sylvain Guintoli regained the championship lead despite dislocating his collarbone days before the race. But the big news at Moscow Raceway of course was the tragic death of Andrea Antonelli in the World Supersport race. The opening-lap crash in severely wet conditions naturally led to the cancellation of the rest of the events as the World Superbike community mourns the loss of the 25-year-old Antonelli.
