Looks new. -Service just performed less than 1000 miles ago. The Ducati Streetfigther 848 combines the 848 Testastretta 11° engine and a new Trellis frame with Superbike 848EVO-derived geometry. This mix assures a great handling and a rush of power which is kept in check by the advanced Ducati Traction Control system. The engine is based on the Testastretta Evoluzione and delivers 132 hp at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 9.5 kgm at 9,500 rpm. Compared to the Testastretta Evoluzione, the 848 Testastretta 11°’s overlap angle has been reduced from 37° to 11° to ensure a fluid power delivery, a wider power band and reduced consumption and emissions. The engine is combined with a 2-1-2 exhaust system made from weight-saving 1mm thick steel with 58mm to 63.5mm diameter pipes. The system uses two lambda probes and an electronic valve in the mid-section to deliver increase performance and a wide spread of power. |

Dramatic start to the 848 Challenge season
Tue, 10 Apr 2012The 2012 Ducati 848 Challenge got off to a dramatic start at Brands Hatch this weekend as the weather played a disruptive influence on the outcome of both races. Cold, rainy conditions prevailed on both Easter Sunday and Monday forcing the field of 33 riders to kick-off the season racing on wet tyres in greasy track conditions. With a number of riders having to start from pit lane, Race 1 got off to an eventful start with two riders falling at Paddock Hill as all the riders jostled for places and wheels touched.
Audi Announces Ducati Q3 2013 Sales Results
Thu, 07 Nov 2013Ducati delivered 36,662 motorcycles worldwide over the first nine months of 2013, according to the third quarter financial report from parent company Audi. An exact year-over-year comparison is not available however, as Audi only took control of Ducati on July 19, 2012, but Audi admits demand had declined mainly due to a weak economy in key European markets such as France, Spain and Ducati’s home market, Italy. FIM Superstock 1000 Homologation List Updated, Adds MV Agusta F4RR and Ducati 1199 Panigale R
Tue, 12 Mar 2013The International Motorcycling Federation has updated its homologated model list for the 2013 World Superbike, Supersport, Superstock and Endurance racing seasons. The list is largely unchanged from the list released in February with the exception of a couple of additions. The Superstock 1000 and Formula Endurance World Championship list now includes the 2013 Ducati 1199 Panigale R and the MV Agusta F4 RR.
