Up for auction is this incredibly clean, low mile Ducati PS1000LE Paul Smart Sport Classic.
This Paul Smart comes with a Termignoni system and is otherwise stock, save for the accessory seat. The bike is in near-showroom condition and has just had the 2 year service completed...it needs nothing. And with only 1,953 it's virtually new. This bike is 100% correct with zero issues, flaws or scratches. We've had several inquiries about the tank. Currently there is no sign of warping, bubbling, etc. Tank has not been coated but looks good. Over the last few years, the Paul Smart has become one of the most sought-after Ducatis in recent memory. Not only is the Paul Smart a competent and capable road bike that's zestful and invigorating to ride, it's also a stunningly gorgeous object of beauty. Based on a Sport Classic engine/frame combination, the PS100LE was built to commemorate Paul Smart's classic win at Imola on the fabled 750ss. The silver bodywork and blue/green frame was meant to conjure up images of the 750 race bike - only this model contains a 1000cc dual-spark lump and top-grade Ohlins suspension to compliment the single seat and clip-on bars. The bike is styled in the fashion of the Ducati 750 Imola Desmo race bike that Paul Smart rode to victory, and the 1974 750 SuperSport it originally inspired. 2012 Ducati Streetfighter 848 MSRP Set at $12,995
Wed, 28 Sep 2011Ducati is pricing its new Streetfighter 848 at $12,995, the same price as the 2011 848 EVO and $2,000 less than the original 1099cc Streetfighter. The new 2012 Ducati Streetfighter 848 is equipped with a Testastretta Evoluzione engine similar to the one powering the 848 EVO but tuned to produce a claimed 132 hp and 69 ft-lb. (compared to the s848′s 140hp and 72.3 ft-lb.) In comparison, the 1199cc Streetfighter has a claimed output of 155 hp and 85 ft-lb.
2014 Ducati Monster 1200S Named Most Beautiful Bike of EICMA
Mon, 11 Nov 2013Visitors to the 2013 EICMA show in Milan voted the new Ducati Monster 1200S the “Most Beautiful Bike of Show”. The new Monster powered by Ducati‘s liquid-cooled 11-degree Testastretta engine received the most votes out of more than 10,000 ballots to win the honor. Second place went to the Turismo Veloce 800 from MV Agusta, which captured the honor at last year’s show with the Rivale 800.
“Ducati Remains Ducati” Says Audi CEO
Thu, 12 Jul 2012Audi AG Chief Executive Officer Rupert Stadler addressed Ducati‘s workforce in Bologna, Italy, for the first time to address his company’s impending acquisition of the motorcycle maker. Joined by members of Ducati‘s management including President and CEO Gabriele Del Torchio, as well as Thomas Sigi, Audi’s head of human resources, Stadler met with Ducati’s entire workforce of nearly 1000 people to discuss the future of the company. The address comes after the European Union granted its blessing to the acquisition.
