Ducati Other description

a friend that I bought this bike from had it in his basement, back in 1991. he took it apart, he was going to road race it. that didn't happen. 3 years ago he asked if I wanted to buy it and I did. the bike was in great shape. I painted the red and black parts on it, the chrome was in good condition. I plated the rims. the rest was original and in good shape. I replaced the muffler because it was missing. I also had the seat redone. I had all of the hardware cad plated, the spokes, nuts, bolts on the motor and the frame. the carburetor was refurbished and all of the aluminum was polished. the motor was gone over. all the parts are nos from doctor D. all the bearings, gaskets, piston and rings, seals, points, and condener are new. it has new cables, and battery. I hate to sellit but I need my pole barn finished. there is a title. my number is 262-613-2647, larry. thanks good luck with your bid

New Spy Photo of Near-Complete 2013 Ducati Multistrada/Hyperstrada 848

Wed, 11 Jul 2012

The latest spy photo of Ducati‘s upcoming 848-engined model continues to muddle the debate as to whether the new motorcycle is a Hypermotard or a Multistrada. The new model appears to blend elements of the two existing bikes with the liquid-cooled Testastretta 11° engine and an all-new frame. What will likely emerge is a new model with a couple of variations, a sport version and a touring version, This latest picture (the one shown below the jump has been tweaked for better contrast and a bit of sharpening) reveals the new side-mounted exhaust design and Ohlins suspension.

So that's why he's called RANDY de Puniet

Tue, 20 Jul 2010

RANDY de Puniet may well have just been ejected from his LCR Honda RC212V MotoGP racer during qualifying for Sunday's Sachsenring GP but that ain't gonna stop him from bringing one of the company perks with him to Dr Costa's on-circuit surgery. The Frenchman crashed during qualifying after hitting oil and water spilled on track by Jorge Lorenzo's Fiat Yamaha, after it spewed its guts along almost the entire length of the start finished straight. Following the crash De Puniet was whisked away on a stretcher with a suspected broken foot.

Ducati 1199 Panigale On The Dyno

Mon, 23 Jan 2012

Italian magazine Motociclismo is one of the largest and most influential motorcycle publications in all of Europe, and they’ve captured this clip of a Ducati test rider running the new 1199 Panigale on the dyno. Rider wearing full gear aside (he even flips down his faceshield!), what sticks out to me is how quickly the new Superquadro engine accelerates through its rev range. I was also impressed at the length it took before the rev limiter was reached.
