Priced to sell quickly since I just I bought the new 2016 model. This is a 2010 Ducati MTS1200 ABS non-S model (non-electronic suspension) that I bought new, still in the crate, in the Spring of 2011.
Features: - Clean title - California Registered until March 2017 - Transferable extended full warranty service contract valid until March 2018. - BrakeTech Soft Ductile Iron Front Brake Rotor - Ducati heated grips - Rizoma "Feel" Levers - Rizoma Tail Tidy with Rizoma LED indicator lights - Michelin PR3 tires. Plenty of life left. - New battery The bike has 45k miles on it, and it has never let me down. (Note, the mileage was reset due to the Dashboard ECU being replaced by the dealer and documented). WSBK: 2012 Moscow Results
Mon, 27 Aug 2012The historic race first-ever World Superbike Championship round in Russia provided plenty of drama with several top riders crashing out of both races and a new leader emerge in the chase for the 2012 WSBK Championship. Superpole qualifying made for four different manufacturers lining up in the first row of the grid, with Carlos Checa taking pole position for Althea Ducati ahead of Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes, Aprilia‘s Eugene Laverty and BMW rider Leon Haslam. A slightly damp and unfamiliar track likely contributed to a number of crashes and collisions.
FIM to Revise WSBK Homologation Requirements
Fri, 17 Jan 2014The International Motorcycling Federation is considering modifying its homologation requirements for the World Superbike Championship following Bimota‘s somewhat surprising plans to re-enter the series. Under current regulations, manufacturers must produce a minimum number of motorcycles for it to be eligible to compete in the production-based WSBK championship. The official regulations currently require a minimum of 125 units produced for an initial homologation inspection, 500 units produced by June 30 of the current year, 1,000 units by the end of the current year and 2,000 units by the end of the following year.
Lorenzo Wants to Race at Assen Despite Breaking Collarbone in Three Places
Fri, 28 Jun 2013Jorge Lorenzo underwent two hours of surgery earlier this morning in Barcelona, Spain, to insert eight screws and a titanium plate to secure his fractured collarbone. By the afternoon, the Yamaha rider was back in the Netherlands to prove he is healthy enough to race in tomorrow’s TT Assen. The reigning MotoGP champion broke his collarbone in three places after high-siding in a wet practice session Thursday.
