Ducati Multistrada description

If you've ever wanted to experience the joys of a Ducati and its marvelous engine and engine note, here's your opportunity at a low cost of entry into this renowned world of Italian sport bike handling with all day comfort. Also includes all three original Ducati issued panniers to allow you to enjoy that all day comfort on extended trips.

Purchase History:

Purchased in April of 2013 with 16, 151 miles. At the time, the dealer replaced chain and all fluids.

Maintenance / Service History:

In September of 2013, I replaced front and rear tires with Michelin Pilot Road 3.

Most recent service at Erico Motorsports in Denver in August of 2014 at 17,311--timing drive toothed belts replaced, valves adjusted, air filter, and spark plugs.

They reported that front tire is at 90% life left, rear tire at 85% life left, front brakes at 90% life left, and rear brakes at 75%.

Next scheduled maintenance per Ducati is at 24,000 miles.

Accessories:

Termigoni exhaust, Sargent seat, Alaska Sheepskin Seat Pad and Barkbusters Hand Protectors, pigtail for battery charger and heated clothing.

Condition:

Wear typical for an 11 year old bike. I've added one photo to show a typical blemish on the bike. I can send others to interested parties. The seat does have a tear where it meets the tank. I haven't repaired it since it doesn't impact use of seat and the sheepskin pad covers it and provides additional comfort.

Mechanically excellent. No leaks, drips, or other areas of concern.

Book Values:

KBB value = $4,680 for excellent condition.

NADA value = $4,590

Of note:

The instrument display currently shows a wrench icon to indicate that service is due. That is not the case. I took the bike in before the 18,000 interval. Once the bike's mileage reached the recommended interval that icon appeared as reminder to get the service done. It was already completed. A dealer can clear that icon, but I live one and half hours from the dealer, the icon doesn't effect the performance of the bike, and I'm simply not riding the bike much at all. If it is a concern to a bidder, please inform me and I will have it cleared.

I have receipts to document all the work that was done on the bike in my ownership. I also have all the keys, the code car, the black key, the red key and multiple sets of keys for the panniers. All manuals also included.

This is turnkey bike at a great price.

Mugello: Track Facts

Thu, 04 Jun 2009

With the record setting MotoGP of Mugello finishing up this past weekend, Motorcycle.com takes a look at the high speed action on the track. Just as always, as Motorcycle.com continues to cover all the 2009 MotoGP racing news, The Sidecar stays focused on the tracks of this years Grand Prix season. Admittedly I don’t know that much about Italy.

Motorcycle Results From The 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

The 91st running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is in the books, and while much of the media attention focused on Sebastien Loeb demolishing the outright course record, setting the first eight-minute lap with a 8:13.878 — over 90 seconds faster than the previous lap record —in his Peugeot 208 T16, history was made in the motorcycle divisions as well. Below are the times for all the motorcycle competitors in this year’s event. As expected, Carlin Dunne aboard the Lightning electric superbike, took top honors among all motorcycle competitors, marking the first time an electric motorcycle has done so.

Troy Bayliss and Ernesto Marinelli on the Ducati 1199 Panigale [Video]

Tue, 22 Nov 2011

Three-time World Superbike Champion Troy Bayliss and Ducati Superbike Project Director Ernesto Marinelli sat down together to talk about the new Ducati 1199 Panigale in a new video released by the Bologna manufacturer. The video was shot in a split screen format with the two men answering questions about Ducati‘s new superbike. Of course, the video feature the two lauding superlatives on the 1199, but it does offer some amusing moments such as Bayliss’ “Superquadro” face pictured above and the two men doing their impressions of how the Panigale sounds rocketing down the straight of the Mugello circuit.
