2011 Ducati Monster 696, Hello. I am selling my 2011 Monster 696. I am the original owner and this bike has been maintained exclusively by the Ducati dealer. All services were done at the recommended intervals as outlined in the service manual. New tires, chain and sprockets (14T front) and brakes were also put on at 15K. It currently has 18K miles on it. I still ride it some, so mileage is not exact. This bike runs and looks great. It's light, fast and gets great gas mileage. Has touring seat and fender elimination kit. I am asking for $6200 OBO. Max Biaggi to Test Ben Spies’ Ducati Desmosedici GP13 MotoGP Racer
Wed, 05 Jun 2013Retired four-time 250cc Grand Prix Champion and two-time World Superbike Champion Max Biaggi will be returning to the track this week to ride a Ducati Desmosedici GP13 at MotoGP test at Italy’s Mugello circuit. Biaggi will be riding in place of Pramac Racing‘s Ben Spies who continues to rehab his shoulder and pectoral muscle injury. With Spies’ on-going injury problems and a star like Biaggi on tap, some might hope this change may be a more permanent arrangement but Pramac is careful to state Biaggi will only be testing the Desmosedici with Ducati test team rider Michele Pirro continuing to race in Spies’ absence.
Saltarelli Classic Ducati Collection Up for Auction
Tue, 17 Jan 2012One of the world’s largest private collections of Ducati motorcycles is going on the auction block. Former Ducati factory test rider, racer and dealer Carlo Saltarelli is selling his collection of classic motorcycles at RM Auction‘s biennial auction in Monaco on May 11-12 during the Grand Prix of Monaco Historique. Saltarelli’s collection includes 100 motorcycles including a 1970 ex-Works Ducati 450 Desmo Corsa which was featured in the Ducati museum in Bologna, Italy.
2014 Hesketh 24 Officially Launched
Mon, 16 Jun 2014British brand Hesketh has officially launched its limited edition tribute to its Formula 1 roots and the start of a new generation of motorcycles. The Hesketh 24 was originally supposed to be ready in February but after encountering some delays, the 1950cc V-Twin is ready to go. Hesketh is only producing 24 units, but the company says it has plans for a two-seat sport-touring model based on the same platform.
