Ducati Monster description

Beautiful, well running bike. It has no problems, turn key and drive home! Only modification is a tidy tail kit, but original mud flap / rear fender is included. It has an occasional drip from the left clutch cover gasket, not enough to affect the oil level in the past 3,000 miles, and ducati deal said to wait and have it fixed at the 15,000 mile service since it isn't dripping but a drop or so. Dealer service records are available, if it needed it, it got it. Brake pads, air filter, engine oil, clutch fluid, brake fluid are all fresh. Tires have good tread, and it is CLEAN! Selling to put money down on some property, so it is priced to move. No reserve!

Report: Ducati Sold to Audi for US$1.13 Billion

Tue, 17 Apr 2012

Reuters is reporting Audi has reached a deal with Investindustrial to acquire Ducati for a price of 860 million euros (US$1.13 billion). Citing two unnamed sources familiar with the deal, Reuters reports the purchase price includes Ducati‘s debts, estimated by one of those sources at below 200 million euros (US$262.6 million). As previously reported, the deal will be officially announced April 18, ahead of the annual shareholders meeting for Audi’s parent company, the Volkswagen Group.

Report: Ducati Technology in Future Audi Two-Wheeler

Tue, 17 Jul 2012

Audi‘s acquisition of Ducati is still yet to be finalized but that hasn’t stopped the automaker from discussing a possible product of their union. Speaking at the opening of the new Audi City digital showroom in London, Audi sales and marketing Chief Peter Schwarzenbauer hinted a two-wheeled Audi is on its way, with Ducati playing a vital role in “future mobility solutions” for urban travelers. Schwarzenbauer tells British car site Autocar the new motorcycle or scooter will not simply be a “Ducati wearing an Audi badge.” The phrases “future mobility solution” and “urban” are usually used together when discussing scooters, so an Audi scooter may be more likely than a motorcycle.

Visordown art curation

Wed, 05 Jan 2011

I'm finding it difficult to appreciate art at the moment, especially with all the modern art nonsense. I guess I just don't understand it, but these pieces look worthy of Tate Bike (that is if it existed). They're from young female artist, Guenevere Schwien, who grew to love motorcycles at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
