Davide Tardozzi Returns To Ducati, Now In MotoGP

After four years away, former racer turned team manager, Davide Tardozzi, is back with the Ducati brand. This time he will be in charge of the organization and logistics of the Italian squad in the MotoGP World Championship. The former Bimota racer had a very successful career as Ducati team manager in Superbike, collaborating with champions of the caliber of Fogarty, Bayliss, Corser, Toseland and Hodgson, and contributing to the conquest of seven rider’s titles in the production-based racing series.

In past years, the biennial Auto Expo in India slipped under the radar while the industry was focused more on shows such as EICMA in Italy and Intermot in Germany. But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market. Asia-Only 2012 Ducati Monster 795 Unveiled in Malaysia

Ducati unveiled a new model to its Monster family specifically for the Asian market, combining the engine of the 796 and the chassis of the 696. The new Ducati Monster 795 is powered by the same 803cc 90-degree V-Twin engine as found in the Monster 796, claiming 87hp at 8250 rpm and 58 ft-lb. at 6250 rpm.
