Chopper Chopper description

2001 MCC "Thunderbolt"  S&S with 3508 original miles. S&S 113 polished engine. 5 speed harley gears in delkron case. No issues and still just like brand new. I have 3 customs & only rode this one about 700 miles a yearly at local summer events. Will pay for a dyno to prove it if needed as the bikes barely broke in & I'm getting 45 mpg.

The bike has never leaked a drop of fluid or seen rain but It's been setting for much of the last 7 or so years so I took it in to be serviced in febuary & had them check over everything.. I wanted it fresh again & considered a long trip on it.. They installed new sparkplugs, plug wires, k&n air filter, harley belt, front & rear brake lines, flushed calipers, installed new Avalon tires, removed & flushed the fuel tank, the oil tank, oil pump, tranny & primary. New fluids throughout, Installed fresh seals on tranny, inspected gears, upgraded a tranny bearing while they had it open, checked all wiring harness for any issue, lubed / cleaned cables, installed new foot pegs, mirrors (didnt like old ones), set the alignement, flushed carb w/ new gaskets & jets, new fuel line, new battery, new plastic on tail lenses. I also had never liked the tail light brake light "flasher type" and installed a new harness brain "solid light type" module.. The only thing the bike needs is the horn switch needs the contact under the switch replaced. Installed new horn on the bike before realizing the switch was the problem.. $3100 service total.. I have yet to put 1 mile on it since feb.. tires still have nipples.. Also bought a spare Danny Grey custom "double" seat & passenger pegs installed in march..  When I bought the bike new I gave $31,000 before adding a stronger $600 starter plus heavier cables & every part thats on the build is still available today.. I recently calculated the "street value" on the parts & it totals over $26,000 without the build or paint job..  I'm only selling because my son needs my help to buy his first house & I would like to sell this pretty fast so if your interested I'll make a deal.. I can be reached by phone at 402-597-3997. Thanks

Natural Habitats

Sat, 26 Jan 2013

SAM Christmas has been a professional photographer for the last 3 years and is the man behind Natural Habitats, a collection of photos covering the growing UK custom scene, showing bikes and their builders at home.    Sam's clients include the likes of Honda, Dainese, Google, Polo Jeans and Edwin denim but Natural Habitats is a personal project that took one and a half years to complete. I got to meet Sam when the exhibition opened in Shoreditch on Thursday evening.
