Well, everything short of the Oprah-esque trick of telling a crowd to look under their seats for the key to their new bikes. Instead, Star approached a group of 10 customizers that reads like a Whos Who of the bike modification world, and supplied them with stock Bolts and a deadline.

Fri, 14 Aug 2009Paul Teutul Sr. from OCC, once again finds himself in the spotlight, this time its for building the worlds first totally green custom motorcycle that was commissioned by Siemens. Some features of the bike include: a clutch-less transmission, 27-horsepower engine and a top speed of 100 mph. You can plug the bike into a standard 110-volt plug, takes 5 hours to fully charge and has a 60 mile range on a full charge. The Siemens Smart Chopper will go on tour this year to help promote green technology and will be auctioned off for charity at some point next year.

Mon, 24 Nov 2008Normally when I think of a custom chopper, I envision something like Wyatts Captain America bike or even retro re-creations like the Harley Davidson Cross Bones. After all the act of chopping normally referred to forks and frames, not chopping wood. A unique ride recently added to eBay breaks from this tradition with a wooden hot rod built around the engine and transmission from a 1952 Ariel Square 4 motorcycle.
