Chopper Chopper description

This is a custom built chopper using a Honda CB750 engine. The frame is jig built using 1 1/4" and 1 3/4" DOM steel tubing. The engine came out of a donor bike that had just over 10,000 miles but I no longer have the stock speedo so I can't verify the actual mileage.

The front end is an Ultima 65mm inverted fork assembly with raked trees. Everything on the front end is chrome. The front wheel is a 21" spoke wheel with a polished stainless steel brake rotor and a chrome brake caliper and SS brake line. The front tire is a 80/90 x 21 Shinko Tour Master. The handlebars, risers, controls and grips are chrome as well.

The fuel tank is a 3.3 gallon Mustang tank with hidden mounts and was sealed before painting. The rear fender was made out of 2 aftermarket fenders and extra steel and a bunch of cutting and bending and welding. The chain guard was hand made to match the fender. The oil tank was made for me by  "Jake's Tank's" out of aluminum. The seat has a single shock/spring and was covered with leather by "schoolteacherJim's custom's". The frame end caps are made with red acrylic plastic with LED lights to make cool little running lights. (If you need to have turn signals you could hook these up for that purpose.) The tail light is a chrome plated '39 Chevy light with LED's.

The rear wheel is solid aluminum, 16" and chrome plated. It also has a polished SS brake rotor and a chrome plated caliper. The rear master cylinder is off a late model Honda CBR and connected with a SS brake line. The rear tire is a 140/90 x 16 Shinko Tour Master.

The exhaust is Stainless steel with no baffles. Louder than most bikes but not obnoxiously loud and I haven't upset any of the local law enforcement yet so it can't be that bad. The carbs are 100% rebuilt with all new gaskets and O-rings and jetted to run great with the pipes and aluminum velocity stacks. The battery is a 8 cell Ballistic and the electric start and kick start both work as should. The coils are Dyna and I still run the points ignition 'cause that's what I like.

Please ask any questions before buying the bike. A $250 deposit is required with-in 24 hours and balance is due when you pick up the bike with-in 7 days of sale unless you make other arrangements with me in advance. The buyer is responsible for any/all expenses for shipping.

Resident Evil Inspired Chopper

Mon, 07 Dec 2009

Capcom, the creator of the popular video game series “Resident Evil”, has teamed up with Savage Cycles out of Maryland, to create this zombie killer custom chopper.  The project is scheduled to be completed in January, the limited bikes to be built has no price tag at this point but I am sure it will be steep. Check out some preview shots and a list of some interesting features. From the Capcom blog: The bike is low-slung and mean, armored but fast, with quick access to a number of “weapons” and items, such as an airsoft shotgun and pistol, “health sprays” and a combat knife strapped to the front fork.

Actor and Avid Rider, Lorenzo Lamas, to Lead Charity Ride for Abused Children

Thu, 08 Mar 2012

Lorenzo Lamas, the heartthrob who played ex-cop Reno Raines, a chopper/cruiser-riding beefcake sporting a flowing mane (that most women wished they had), out for justice in the ’90s TV drama, Renegade, is a real life motorcyclist, and will lead a charity ride on June 3 as the grand marshal for Child Abuse Awareness. Slated to join Lamas are actors/riders from Sons of Anarchy, Southland and American Ninja, as well as law enforcement and the general public, on the ride that will depart from Bartels’ Harley-Davidson in Marina del Rey, Calif., and end at the Newport Dunes Resort in Newport Beach, Calif.
