Can-Am Spyder GS SM5 description

This is a 2008 Can-Am Premiere Edition Spyder number 704. Can-Am first began taking Premiere Edition pre-orders in February of 2007,  and the goal was to create an exclusive club for the first 2,500 North American Spyder roadster owners.

I'm the second owner of this bike which has about 11,500 miles. I bought it with around 9,200 miles on it. This is very low miles for the year and never see the rain. This year is the year that is very sought after not only being the first year but also being the  premier addition. This was the most reliable and trouble free bike out of the first 5 years they were made.

This bike has the upgraded wheels, LED running lights, Hindle exhaust and LED light strips on the control arms for extra light at night makeing easier to see and to be more visible to others. The lights are controlled by a factory Cam-Am switch installed by a Can-am dealer. You can see the button in the photos. Blends in with the background. I also had a second key made at a
Can-am dealer which was around $265. The Hindle exhaust was around $700, install of the LEDs around $300 not including the price of the lights.

This has been a joy to ride and perfect for those that what the experience of the open road with out the worry of a conventional bike. This has power steering, ABS and traction control. All the luxuries of a car. I have the original exhaust I can give you if you wanted. Any question feel free to contact me.

Asking $8,800 or best offer. This bike has never ridden hard and always  garage kept. Thank you for looking. I am located in Mchenry Illinois, not sure why my listing states United States. Sorry for the confusion

Q3 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results

Fri, 01 Nov 2013

Motorcycle and scooter sales in the U.S. in 2013 remain consistent with last year’s figures, according to data released by the Motorcycle Industry Council. Several manufacturers blamed poor weather for the poor start this year, and the rebounding sales in the third quarter helped to negate the slow sales from earlier in the year.
