BSA Sunbeam description

This is a great survivor bike, Early S7 VIN 868. Matching Frame, engine, trans and rear gear. The bike runs excellent, I drove it from Pennsylvania to Florida this last summer. I took off the saddle bags and rear rack to put on a pylon so my wife could ride with me. I have rebuilt the Carb, put a new wiring harness front to back, new distributor (original comes with bike) and new rubber. I put on an original air cleaner,  spark plug cover and tool box. The bike came with a 48 Harley taillight, other than that it looks totally original.

If you know Sunbeams you will know this bike, it is extremely rare. Early S7s are very hard to find especially here in the states. This one has all the patina you want in an old bike. Mechanically it runs fantastic, starts easily and idles smooth. I have a video of a cold kick start on youtube. go to YouTube and search "1948 sunbeam S7"

Ask plenty of questions, I am open to some trades as well, only pre 70's complete cars, trucks or bikes, in running order or close to it.

The Steve McQueen Desert Racer

Tue, 24 Mar 2009

There are few motorcycle icons within pop culture that have endured as vividly as that of the late, great Steve McQueen. A man who was at one time the highest paid actor in Hollywood, he avoided the limelight in favor of immersing himself within his passion for motorcycles. Never afraid of getting dirty, McQueen was at his happiest flogging a bike around the track with fellow racers or tinkering with the machines himself.
