BSA Ariel FH Huntmaster 650cc description

I have a 1954 Ariel FH Huntmaster 650cc for sale from my private collection. The bike only has limited miles on it after a ground up restoration approximately 5 years ago. The bike is in excellent cosmetic and running condition. The engine and gearbox have been completely overhauled. The bike comes with the correct Smiths speedometer, ampere meter, Lucas Altette horn, Burgess Air Cleaner- the bike is original and correct. These bikes are very underrated and are one of the most comfortable Ariel twins ever made. Matching numbers.

In 1954 Ariel Introduced the 650cc Huntmaster equipped with engines based on the BSA parallel twins, the Huntmaster's being an A10 with a reshaped timing cover, Ariel's traditional dry clutch and a Burman gearbox. Accordingly, it featured the A10's cast iron cylinder barrels and head, pushrod-actuated overhead valves and an Amal Monobloc carburetor. The duplex frame was suspended on telescopic front forks and a swinging arm at the rear, and had lugs to enable sidecar fitment on either side. The factory claimed top speed of 90-95mph, with a fuel consumption of 65-70mpg when cruising at 45mph

The bike is registered in Ontario, Canada and comes with a valid ownership under my name. Shipping arrangements can be made and can potentially deliver to US border.

Note: pictures do not show the air cleaner, battery box and decals on license plate but the video does and it is the condition of the bike currently and are included with the sale of the bike.

If you have any further questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact me via- email: ajay.jayalath@gmail.com or call/text: 416-858-8034.

Please note that the bike is also up for sale privately and the owner reserves to cancel the EBAY transaction at any point to facilitate a local sale.

Bike is sold as is, where is, with no implied warranties.

Also please note that if you need to ask your wife, sister, daughter or neighbor, please do so before bidding. Lastly, do not give your newborn, neighbor your EBAY credentials to bid by mistake.  The bike is ready to be sold, not many Ariel Huntmaster's are around in this condition.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask or call at the below listed number. Do you need a picture of a certain place/spot/ angle- do not hesitate ask. Inspections are also welcome. The only thing this bike needs is to be ridden on a sunny day, we need this bike to go to a place where it will be thoroughly enjoyed!

Note that $500.00 is required by PayPal as deposit, the remaining balance will only be accepted as cash in hand, money order or a bank money transfer.

The bike will not be shipped without payment. We will facilitate shipping.

Thank you and happy bidding!

Fri, 04 Mar 2022

At last we have a brand new model of the beloved brand: after the success of Royal Enfield and Jawa, the British BSA has returned to service. The single-cylinder classic Gold Star will enter the European market - a spiritual successor to the original company's lineup, but with a completely modern filling. The novelty is equipped with a single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, two overhead camshafts and 4 valves per cylinder, a working volume of 652 cm3.

Man Builds Sidecar from Bathtub

Thu, 23 Apr 2009

Back in 1997, an unusual motorcycle appeared on the front page of the Bristol Evening Post. Unable to afford a costly traditional sidecar, bus driver Alan Iles of Bedminster opted to build his own, using a bathtub. Twelve years later, the 1959 650cc BSA is still going and has been ridden all over Europe to help raise money for Cancer research and various charities, for which he has raised thousands of British pounds.
