BSA A65 Lightning description

1969 BSA A65 Lightning

Frame no. A65LB4112
Engine no. A65L1047

On offer is this great riding flagship of the BSA range, the A65 Lightning. A marriage of a 1967 Lightning twin-carb engine mounted in a 1968 Lightning frame, the bike is in good solid condition. The engine is taut and has good power, and the bike shifts well. Brakes are excellent and suspension is very good.

Cosmetically, the bike is OK. Paint is OK on the tank with no major dents. The bike is still on its original black/yellow California license plate, so it has never been registered elsewhere. The CA registration is also current until December. The frame is straight, making this an ideal candidate for a cosmetic restoration, or just ride it as is and enjoy!

A man who was at one time the highest paid actor in Hollywood, he avoided the limelight in favor of immersing himself within his passion for motorcycles. Never afraid of getting dirty, McQueen was at his happiest flogging a bike around the track with fellow racers or tinkering with the machines himself.
