BMW R-Series description

Well cared for low mileage example of type.   The engine runs very strong, documented 30K service at dealer, new brake fluid this year, recent oil change.    The bike has approximatley 37,600 miles on it.  Both Metzler  tires have quite a bit of life in them with 7K's worth of miles on them.   The bike was originally purchased by its first owner as his retirement gift and he took it to Alaska.  ABS brakes .  The bike, as is normally the case, has been over a few times, with only a few scratches on the front fender and a smudge on the tank lettering that I can see.   The bike is outfitted with numerous accessories including:

Motorrad Concept Link is a two-wheeled gadget that understands its owner. An electric propulsion system with a traction battery located in the lower part of the “body” and a motor that transmits traction to the rear wheel via a belt drive is far from the most remarkable aspect of the concept. For example, it has a stretched wheelbase and reverse gear.

The BMW C1-E, prepared for the European Safer Urban Motorcycling (eSUM), was designed to represent safe and environmentally friendly vehicles of the future. Like the C1, which was produced 2000-2003, the concept has a number of safety features such as a roll-over bar, energy-absorbing nose to soften head-on collisions and seat belts. Preliminary 2012 MotoGP Entry List Released

The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has released a preliminary entry list for the 2012 MotoGP World Championship. The provisional list includes 21 riders in the premiere class, including nine classified as Claiming Rule Team entries. Defending MotoGP Champion Casey Stoner will wear the #1 plate for the 2012 season, the first with both CRT entries and the new 1000cc engine displacement cap.
