I am the original owner of this fully equipped motorcycle. It is in excellent condition and has run flawlessly for me for years. As listed below it includes a on board navigation system (BMW Motorrad Navigation IV). It has been stored in doors and has never dropped in motion. However, it has fallen over twice in garage/parking lot situations on opposite sides (of course!). The only indications of these incidents are scuff marks on both saddle bags. The only other blemishes are boot wear mark on both sides rear of pegs, and a very slight scratch on the front right upper spoiler. The last three photos document these. All scheduled maintenance has been performed with documentation available upon request. Annual inspection is scheduled to be completed during this auction period. The tires are new and have less that 250 miles on them. I reserve the right to list this item on other venues and to remove it from this auction in the event it is sold through these alternate means. Moto 3, Oral Engineering and the 2012 BMW S1000RR
Thu, 01 Mar 2012KTM and Honda may have been the main players at recent Jerez Moto 3 test but GP newcomers, Oral Engineering, weren’t too far behind with our very own Danny Webb posting the 15th best time. Italian based Oral are supplying engines to Mahindra Racing (Danny & Marcel Schrotter) and Ambroggio Next Racing (Simone Grotzki & Giulian Pedone). Mahindra have their motor housed in an all new, Italian tubular steel chassis, while Ambroggio have gone down the more economic route of using their 2011 Aprilia RSW 125 chassis.
WSBK: 2012 Monza Results
Mon, 07 May 2012It was supposed to be a weekend of celebration. The World Superbike Championship was celebrating its 25th anniversary of racing at Italy’s Monza circuit. Promoters Infront Motorsports brought out 30 landmark Superbikes from the series’ history, while greats such as Fred Merkel, Doug Polen and Carl Fogarty were in attendance for what was supposed to be a weekend to remember.
2012 BMW G650GS Sertão Announced
Mon, 03 Oct 2011BMW has unveiled a new more off-road oriented version of the G650GS. Named for a dry backlands region of northeastern Brazil, the 2012 BMW G650GS Sertão adds longer-travel suspension and wire-spoke wheels to make it a more capable machine for off-road adventure riding. The Sertão’s 41mm fork offers over 210mm of travel compared to the regular G650GS’ 170mm.
