BMW R-Series description

This is probably the cleanest lowest mile R1150R in existence. It's been a wonderful bike, I simply never ride it. I am an ER doctor and vey meticulous with maintenance. I purchased last year from a Neurologist buddy who is a collector.  In the past 100 miles, new spark plugs (upper and lower) air filter, oil and filter, gear-case oil, rear differential oil. This was all done by me (I have receipts), however I have other dealer maintenance records since new. I have all original dealer documents from new purchase. The tires are nearly new, still have knobbies.

Its a 9.9/10 condition bike,  the only mark being a small scuff on the right oil cover. (New is $130) Otherwise literally nearly a showroom bike.

Akrapovic exhaust, plus new exhaust and Cat delete. $1200 spent on this.   I have the original cat and exhaust can. Stainless steel brake lines w copper O-rings.

This bike performs flawlessly. It took me over a year to find it. I just don't ride enough to justify ownership. In the past year I have ridden maybe 200 miles.

If you are in any way dissatisfied when you come to get the bike, I will refund your deposit on the spot and pay for your fuel. It is nearly perfect. Happy to ship if you make the arrangements. Insurance for me (38 years old) is $180 per year.

Thanks for looking!

Also included, original unmolested tool kit and original BMW battery charger.

Fake motorcycle police. Why?

Tue, 17 Jan 2012

People who like to pretend they're police baffle me and annoy me in equal measure. I took this picture the other day at Cobham, about to join the A3 heading to Guildford. I guessed that the guy on the left had just bought his rather fetching BMW off the guy on the right.

WSBK: 2012 Magny-Cours Results – Championship Decided by Half a Point

Tue, 09 Oct 2012

You would think carrying a 30.5 point lead into the final round of the 2012 World Superbike Championship would be a safe enough margin to win the title. Aprilia‘s Max Biaggi made it interesting, inexplicably crashing out of the first race at the finale in Magny-C0urs before scoring a fifth place finish in Race Two to give him a 0.5 point margin over Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes to win the title. The 358 to 357.5 point difference is the narrowest finish ever in WSBK.
