BMW R-Series description

I cant imagine having any more FUN than this bike for the money.. It handles GREAT, it is FAST, and it sound GOOD.... oh yeah, it looks FANTASTIC too!!
This motorcycle has been kept in my air conditioned basement for the last 4 years. The original owner sold it to me because of his age and health issues, and now I need to do the same. There are NO issues with the paint and no mechanical problems.  There is NO indication of wreck damage...
I have spent hundreds of dollars adapting this motorcycle to my size of 6'1". These include foot peg lowers, bar-backs, hi-way pegs and brackets, custom seat cover (helps my butt breathe on those long trips). I have also installed a performance muffler, just because I like the sound. It also comes with a stock muffler. A Laminar Lip has been installed on the windshield to redirect wind over tall rider. All these modifications are easily converted to standard with just an hour or so of work. This will return it back to stock.......and you will have $700 worth of extras to sell..
Installed in the last year: $900 BMW clutch assembly, front and rear brake pads, and a set of new Dunlop Road Smart tires. All this with less than 500 miles..

Also, standard equipment includes: anti-lock brakes, heated hand grips, both keys, passenger back rest bar and pad & zipper storage bag, tank bag, rider manual and service booklet.  Also a set of new brake pads in wrapper...
I can't think of a reason why you should not be able to enjoy this motorcycle maintenance-free for a long, long time!

GERMAN TUNING house AC Schnitzer has unveiled a gaggle of bolt-on accessories for the BMW S1000RR superbike. The kit comprises of: Stealth silencer, Superbike steering conversion, clutch and brake levers, crashpads, Performance Sports Air Filter, mirror extensions, brake fluid - need we go on. There's even a top yoke mounted bar kit for those that don't want to reach down to the standard bike's low clip-ons.Sounds all fine and dandy if you've a heap of cash to chuck at what's already an expensive machine.Call us boring but isn't a 'standard' one good enough?

2014 WSBK – Phillip Island Results

Sun, 23 Feb 2014

When he signed with the team, Eugene Laverty said he would give all he possibly could to bring Suzuki back to the top of the podium once again. Well, it sure didn’t take the Northern Irishman long to accomplish that goal, winning the very first race of the 2014 season at Australia’s Phillip Island course. The win was Laverty’s third in a row, including the final two races of the 2013 season when he raced for Aprilia.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the Highway Loss Data Institute have submitted a letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration petitioning in favor of making anti-lock brakes mandatory for all new on-highway motorcycles. The letter, addressed to David Strickland, NHTSA administrator, included a recent IIHS study on the effects of ABS on motorcycle fatal crash rates. The report found ABS technology reduces the rate of fatal crashes by 31%, while collision claim rates were 20% lower with ABS-equipped motorcycles.
