BMW R-Series description

Selling one very clean 1992 BMW R100R BMW with factory hard luggage, and 8600 original miles.  As you can see from the pictures, this is a very clean bike that is in exemplary condition, runs and rides like new and comes with original owners manuals and spare key.  Same owner for the last 16 years since 1400 miles.

Light cosmetic blemishes, please examine pictures.  It does leak a small amount of oil, I believe from the pushrod tube seals.  This is a 26 years old bike.  Left tank badge is peeling a little bit, and there are some small scuffs under the valve covers, but overall this is a very nice bike.

To be paid within 7 days of purchase, buyer reponsible for shipping costs, but we are happy to assist in any way possible.  Sold as is.  Please call us at 503-805-2684 if you have any other questions.  Sold by Motorcycle Warehouse, Inc. DA2703  Located in Portland, Oregon.

The BMW E-Scooter was developed with funding form Germany’s Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development. The E-Scooter was created with two goals in mind: to offer performance comparable to a 600cc combustion engine-powered maxi-scooter and to offer sufficient range for an urban commuter. BMW wanted the E-Scooter to provide enough power and speed for freeway passing and climbing steep slopes even with a pillion passenger.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the Highway Loss Data Institute have submitted a letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration petitioning in favor of making anti-lock brakes mandatory for all new on-highway motorcycles. The letter, addressed to David Strickland, NHTSA administrator, included a recent IIHS study on the effects of ABS on motorcycle fatal crash rates. Will the road-going RCV look like this?

Thu, 25 Oct 2012

Honda announced in a dry-as-you-like press release that a new bike was coming.  Not another motorcycle-cum-medical aid like the DN-01 or Integra, this is going to be a proper bike. A bike in a similar vein to previous bikes in the RC series, the RC30, RC45 and RC51, aimed squarely at winning races. So what's it going to look like?
