BMW R-Series description

Selling a beautiful, restored and updated BMW 1984 R65 LS. Stored carefully for years, until we took it in and had the following parts replaced by a certified (vintage) BMW mechanic. The owner was extremely meticulous about care and storage and the bike is in beautiful condition.

New brake fluid
Brake lines
Slave cylinder
Master cylinder
Battery
Tires
New oil filter
Fuel filter

The itemized service receipt can be provided. Included with the bike are the original manual and accompanying booklets, touch-up pens, and four keys.

This is very much a collector bike, as the LS was a limited run of the R65 with a slightly different design.
Please note- there is an added windshield, an added back storage rack, one of the small silver side panels has come loose, and the foot shifter is missing its rubber grip. All lights work, the emergency light switch itself does not, and should be rewired. There is a small scratch across the front fender.

4390 ORIGINAL MILES, starts and runs well.

asking $5150 OBO, open to vehicle trades (local only).
Located in South Bay, Los Angeles. Pickup is the responsibility of the buyer, please contact for further details.

Feel free to ask questions or request a specific photo.

*Listing revised with updated/detailed pics and information.

Anyway, not quite sure where I'm going with that one, so here's a rather lovely clip of BMW's much-lauded S1000RR getting a stationary pasting on a dyno. Not sure I'd be standing at the rear, mind you.

Braunsperger will head Hero’s new R&D center in Rajasthan, India, starting in October.
