BMW R100RT in pearl white with tri color pin striping. Produced on 2-14-1984.Only 200 of these rare models were manufactured. Exactly 11,000 original miles. Tires 80%. Includes original panniers, original tool kit, keyed cable lock and owners manual. Nearly new Corbin deluxe seat with backrest is fitted but I also have the original seat. Comes equipped with Brown side stand, stainless steel brake lines and Garmin Nuvi GPS permanently wired to battery with mounting bracket. Paperwork includes original sales receipt, letter from BMW announcing the "Last Edition" series of motorcycles and manufacturer's certificate from BMW Archives. Recent service includes oil/filter change and transmission input shaft spline lube service. Ride it anywhere. Located in southern Illinois. Charley Boorman Tours Canada for New Series
Wed, 08 Jun 2011Actor and adventure rider Charley Boorman is getting ready for another journey, this one taking him across the Great White North on a tour of Canada. Best known for his Long Way Round and Long Way Down documentaries with his friend and riding partner Ewan McGregor, Boorman is touring Canada for a new series called Extreme Frontiers: Canada for the U.K.’s Channel 5. BMW Motorrad Canada will provide Boorman with his ride, likely from its GS line.
BMW Warns of Potential Defect in 2014 R1200RT Suspension

No formal recall has been announced at the moment; BMW is calling it a precautionary measure, though that may change in time or depending on the market. According to BMW, the piston rod of the rear spring strut could break.
Intermot 2012: 2013 BMW R1200GS Breaks Cover
Tue, 02 Oct 2012BMW pulled the covers off the latest iteration of its popular R1200GS, revealing a number of updates including a new boxer engine at the 2012 Intermot show in Cologne, Germany. The German manufacturer has sold 170,000 units of the R1200GS since it was introduced in 2004, making it the world’s top-selling adventure-tourer, so BMW obviously has a lot riding on the new 2013 model. The biggest change for the 2013 BMW R1200GS is its new 1170cc engine.
