Nice vintage R75/7 in good running order. New parts include Continental GO tires, both front and rear, headlight switch assembly, fork gators, air filter, headlight relay and battery. Other service done includes timing and carburetor adjustment and odometer repair. System cases make this a very serviceable mount. After market windshield is included in the sale (not pictured). BMW Announces Recall Campaign for K1600 Family Motorcycles
Fri, 25 Feb 2022The recall concerns all 2019-2020 BMW K1600 models due to the risk of rear suspension link failure caused by a manufacturing defect - the strength of the part does not meet the factory requirements. This linkage may be destroyed during normal road use, causing the rear of the motorcycle to fall onto the rear wheel. BMW dealers this spring will begin notifying owners of motorcycles that are subject of the recall campaign to visit an authorized dealership for a rear suspension linkage replacement.
Third Annual ‘The MEET’ at ACM
Tue, 26 Aug 2014More than 2,000 attendees visited America’s Car Museum for its 3rd annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival ‘The MEET’ last weekend in Tacoma, Washington, where over 300 motorcycles and scooters were showcased on the Haub Family Field at LeMay. The event drew pre-1981 motorcycles and scooters from the U.S. and Canada, including an antique motorcycle display, swap meet, cruise-in and a 78-mile roundtrip tour from ACM’s Anderson Plaza to Mt. Rainier.
BMW C650GT Recalled in Canada for Loose Luggage Rack Fasteners
Mon, 27 May 2013Transport Canada announced a recall for the 2013 BMW C650GT scooter because of a problem with its accessory luggage rack mounting. On certain units, the fasteners which secure the luggage rack to the rear of the passenger grab rail may loosen over time. This may lead to the rack, and any cases attached to it, to fall off, potentially striking other vehicles, pedestrians or other objects.
