BMW R-Series tech info
BMW R-Series description
1972 BMW R75/5 Scrambler completely custom Scrambler. This bike is truly ONE-OF-A-KIND! 60k original miles and garage kept always. One of the last produced in the BMW facility in Munich. I have taken great time and consideration with this motorcycle. I have over 300 hours into the bike and a couple thousand dollars in custom work alone. This has been my favorite bike I've ever owned. Starts up first time, every time. Bike is in 100% working order with no problems. BMW mechanic went through the bike piece by piece with me and I will give you his contact info to verify. All work was done by Palmer and Kurt Lynch of Lynch Cycles in Atlantic Beach.
This bike is fast and fun and is a guaranteed head turner. New parts installed in June 2016: Shinko All-Terrain tires front and rear Betro gas shocks from Spain installed in rear Custom front spring suspension in forks K&N Performance oil filter with Schaffer's synthetic oil New Custom made seat New Tail light and turn signals Custom license plate bracket New grips New bar end mirrors New steering dampner Tank painted army matte green New rock guard and bar on custom headlight New shorty exhaust pipes and wrap Engine block paint New acid battery Rims trued Carbs were cleaned, jetted and tuned This bike wasn't just made to look tough, it is fully functional as well. Meant to be driven off road or in the sand or on road. The suspension is extremely responsive and the tires grip like glue. If you are looking for all the original parts to the bike I still have them and they are included. This bike is bullet-proof and I always stand behind what I sell. This bike will increase in value as the years pass and is a true investment piece. |

FIM to Revise WSBK Homologation Requirements
Fri, 17 Jan 2014The International Motorcycling Federation is considering modifying its homologation requirements for the World Superbike Championship following Bimota‘s somewhat surprising plans to re-enter the series. Under current regulations, manufacturers must produce a minimum number of motorcycles for it to be eligible to compete in the production-based WSBK championship. The official regulations currently require a minimum of 125 units produced for an initial homologation inspection, 500 units produced by June 30 of the current year, 1,000 units by the end of the current year and 2,000 units by the end of the following year.
