2009 F800GS 40,946 mis (Miles will accrue - I ride it about twice a week). Terrific Condition. No issues. Neverbeen off road besides a yard and gravel roads. Always garaged. Bike has had 2 valve checks already 1 at 12k miles and the other onerecently at 35k miles, valves are still in spec from factory build. Allservice/warranty work performed @ Euro Cycles of Tampa Bay. Repairs UnderWarranty - Steering head bolt, Headlamp assembly, fuel tank was also replaced,under a recall the Sprockets and chain were replaced at around 18k mi. Bike hasnever been laid down. I have performed all oil changes @ 2500 mile. Tires are at50%, Front brakes @ 30% (I have a new set), Rear brakes were just replacedalong with the rotor. There have been no issues with this bike since I haveowned it. I purchased this bike in 2009 @ 180mis, the original owner didn'tlike the bike. I am selling it to purchase a 2010 or newer Kawasaki Concours 14(I would trade for 1 of those). Any questions feel free to ask. I also havevideos and better photos, for a link email me thru eBay. I wouldn't hesitate to take this bike to Alaska and back at any time, although the wife wouldn't allow....Title is clear and with the state of Florida DMV. Ohlins Issues Recall Notice For BMW S1000RR And R1200R Steering Dampers
Thu, 15 Aug 2013Ohlins is issuing a recall notice for select aftermarket steering dampers for the BMW S1000RR and R1200R. The company believes the bracket holding the damper in place to be improperly machined, and a probable material defect in the aluminum alloy could cause stress fractures. Ohlins states that although “there is no risk for losing control during normal riding,” there is a risk the bracket will fail during slow-speed maneuvers, where the bars are turned at maximum steering angle.

Tue, 26 Aug 2014More than 2,000 attendees visited America’s Car Museum for its 3rd annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival ‘The MEET’ last weekend in Tacoma, Washington, where over 300 motorcycles and scooters were showcased on the Haub Family Field at LeMay. The event drew pre-1981 motorcycles and scooters from the U.S. and Canada, including an antique motorcycle display, swap meet, cruise-in and a 78-mile roundtrip tour from ACM’s Anderson Plaza to Mt. Rainier.
Ridden: BMW R1200GS Adventure

It was going back a few years now (certainly pre-Charlie McGregor era) Having just picked up this new model, I’d ridden 100 miles on a warm summer’s evening to reach my house by dusk. Mindful of the fact that said house contained two frenetic, bark-happy border collies and a small, sleeping child, I cut the ignition, whipped the clutch in and planned a gentle coast up to the area outside my front door.
