2012 BMW R 1200 GS ADVENTURE, 2012 BMW 1200 GS Adventure, 5800 miles as of now, $1550 add on includes factory BMW side luggage with after market top luggage, extra BMW factory low seat, handle grip cruise control, crash bar side shields with R1200GSA logo, headlight guard, oil cooler guard with R1200GS logo and a Bags connection tank bag. It has a almost 9 gallon gas tank which will go 400 miles before refueling, it gets about 50 miles per gallon gas on freeway. We rode it on vacation the last 2 years and rode the Blue Ridge Parkway this year. Never had any issues and is still under factory warranty. It looks new and never been down and always stored inside and is scratch free. Tires are good with good tread. I would trust this bike to head around the world on today. BMW Reports 14% Sales Increase in US in 2012

BMW reported sales of 12,057 motorcycles in the U.S. in 2012, representing a 14.0% increase on the 10,572 units sold in 2011. Leading the way was the S1000RR, with BMW selling 1,934 of the sportbikes this year.

BMW Announces Trophy for Privateer Racers

BMW announced a new competition for privateer racers competing worldwide. Private road racers competing on BMW’s S1000RR or HP4 sportbikes in 15 different series worldwide will earn points based on their results, with the top privateer at the end of the year winning the BMW Motorrad Race Trophy. The trophy represents BMW’s new philosophy towards motorcycle racing which began with the official withdrawal of factory support in the World Superbike Championship.
