I’d like to ramble on about a dozen different things relating to this video, but the 3- minute, 19-second clip speaks for itself. However, once the engine is revving at high rpm, watching the cams, finger followers and valve springs seemingly freeze in action due to the incredible speeds, I was reminded of that whole “Dude, the faster I went the more everything around me seemed to slow down,” experience we’ve all heard about or experienced. The folks at Edmunds took the 2014 Corvette Stingray and put it to the test at Willow Springs International Raceway versus its usual competitors: the SRT Viper , Nissan GT-R , Porsche 911 , Porsche Cayman S , Ford Shelby GT500 and the BMW M3 . It looks like the "Stingray vs. The World" title suits the video well, given there is one car from Japan, a few from Europe and another one from the U.S.

BMW Names Schaller New Head of Motorcycle Development

BMW has appointed Karl Viktor Schaller as its new head of BMW Motorrad development. Schaller will replace Christian Landerl who headed motorcycle development since November 2008. Schaller studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich before becoming a scientific assistant at the research institute for gear wheels and gear manufacturing.
