1998 R1200C with ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM and a professionally mounted Butler sidecar needs to go to a new owner. This motorcycle has been very well maintained and is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic (see images) condition. It was set up by the well known Perry Busong of Ft. Worth and handles very well on all road surfaces; cruises the interstate with ease. It comes as shown with custom windshild (and the BMW one) and the BMW sidecases. The tires are good to new: sidecar 90% at 3500 mis, front 50% at 8,000 mis and rear 95% at less than 1,000 mis. The rear is a 185x60 R16 metic car tire (good for 25,000+ miles) the others are the long running Avon Mark II. Aye, it’s been a another good week in the world of Niall Mackenzie. My friends at Moto Direct sent me a new RST Pro Series suit to try out, I acquired some new rubber for my S10000RR and young Taylor Mac splashed home to 12th place on his Aprilia in the 125cc British Grand Prix. Being no fashion guru and pretty ancient now I’m satisfied the brightest suit I’ve ever climbed into looks the biz.

AMA Superbike: 2012 Daytona Results

Josh Hayes and Blake Young picked things up where they left off by trading wins at the 2012 season-opening AMA Superbike round at Daytona International Speedway. Reigning champion Hayes of Monster Energy Graves Yamaha took the first race handily, leading almost right from the start of the 15-lap race for the win. Yoshimura Suzuki’s Young, who finished second to Hayes in the 2011 AMA Superbike Championship, responded by taking the second race, but only by a slim 0.002-second margin.

BMW Announces Record First Quarter 2012

BMW announced it set a new record for first quarter motorcycle sales, surpassing the previous record by 5.5%. The German manufacturer sold 24,373 motorcycles in the first three months of 2012, outdoing the previous record of 23,109 units set last year. March accounted for more than half of BMW‘s first quarter sales, with customers scooping up 12,295 units over the month, up 5.3% from 11,675 units sold in March 2011.
