Description
If you don't know this bike, it's an incredibly versatile sport-touring motorcycle. I ride the mountains every weekend and have to say that I've never been passed by another biker. . .I suppose there was that one time, two Ducatis, a 748 and a 999 riding together. And, that holds true when I'm riding two-up with my daughter. The suspension on this thing is phenomenal, it holds an incredibly solid line in deep turns.

As to the touring, early in the summer I rode to San Diego from Denver. Left on a Friday late afternoon and returned on a Monday evening....And, I'm old and 6'5". It's a sportier and faster version of an FJR1300, Triumph Trophy, and Kawasaki Concours.

Also, note that the 2007s don't have the second gear gearbox issues that the 2006s have.

I live near Denver...this is a great place to fly and then ride back home. I'm happy to pick you up at the airport and get you to the bike.

Wed, 05 Nov 2008

BMW Motorrad has unveiled a bold new concept bike at the EICMA show in Milan which they call a study in design and engineering. Using the words purist and powerful to describe the concept, BMW has left nothing but the essentials present in a truly naked motorcycle. One of the goals of this concept is to custom fit man and machine.
