BMW F-Series description

Up for Auction is a Very Clean 2012 F 800 GS with Exhaust!

This is a 2012 BMW F 800 GS with 1586 miles. This smaller version of the R1200GS, BMW's big-bore adventure bike, has been a real home run for the Bavarian bike maker. Using the parallel-Twin-powered F800 streetbike as a starting point, BMW created a GS for the masses - one that isn't so, well, massive. An new frame combined with suspension that offers nearly 9 inches of travel at both ends promises the go-anywhere, do-anything capability that GS owners expect. ABS and white turnsignals are now standard.

James Toseland Announces Retirement from Racing

Fri, 09 Sep 2011

Two-time World Superbike Champion James Toseland announced his immediate retirement from motorcycle racing due to a debilitating injury to his right wrist. Signed with the BMW Motor Italia racing team, Toseland has been limited to just seven of 20 races in this season’s WSBK Championship due to the wrist injury initially suffered during a private test at Spain’s Aragon circuit in March. After undergoing an operation for the injury, Toseland made two attempts at returning to racing, first at the Miller Motorsports Park round in May and again at the Silverstone round in July.

Larry Pegram’s EBR 1190RX AMA Race Livery Looks Sharp!

Wed, 05 Mar 2014

In January news broke that Larry Pegram would be teaming up with Erik Buell Racing to race the 1190RX in AMA Superbike. At the time no official photos were revealed, but that’s all changed as Pegram posted these pictures of his completed 1190RX in full race livery on his Facebook page. These photos were captured during team testing in Florida, and the colors show off the all-American design motif.

BMW GS Rider Rescues Cow Calf From Canal [Video]

Wed, 26 Oct 2011

As a motorcyclist I’ve made it my duty to stop and lend assistance any time I see a fellow rider that looks like they’re in need, a sort of paying it forward mentality for the many times I found myself in need of a hand. In most instances the rider stopped on the road’s edge had pulled to the side temporarily to resolve an innocuous issue, but occasionally a rider genuinely needed my help. In either case the riders were grateful that a fellow motorcyclist was checking up on them.
