A new project has urged me to put my 2008 SXV 550 up for sale. I have owned the bike for 2.5 years and have thoroughly enjoyed every second of owning it. The oil and gear box fluid has been changed every 3-400 miles. Within the past 500 miles I have replaced the sprag clutch, upgraded the starter to one from Rick's Motorsports Electrics and installed a new battery. The only other modifications to the bike are the Tusk D-Flex hand guards, Fast Bikes USA axle sliders, and an EVOTECH fender eliminator. This bike has NOT seen the track. WSBK 2013: Donington Park Race Report
Mon, 27 May 2013Tom Sykes had an outstanding weekend in front of his home fans, scoring a pair of wins at the World Superbike Championship round at the United Kingdom’s Donington Park. The Kawasaki racer led every session from first qualifying onwards, before leading all 23 laps in both races for the double. The double victory brings Sykes to within 4 points of series leader Sylvain Guintoli who had a decent weekend himself with a pair of podium finishes.
WSBK 2013: Nurburgring Race Report
Tue, 03 Sep 2013Tom Sykes has taken over the lead in the 2013 World Superbike Championship standings after splitting race victories with Chaz Davies at Germany’s Nurburgring circuit. Both races ended prematurely however with red flags during the final laps. Pata Honda‘s Jonathan Rea and FIXI Crescent Suzuki‘s Leon Camier both crashed on the 18th lap of Race One after running into oil spilled on the track from Pedercini Kawasaki racer Federico Sandi‘s ZX-10R.
Aprilia Announce 2014 Model Range
Fri, 31 Jan 2014Aprilia has today released its 2014 model range, with the $20,499 RSV4 Factory APRC ABS headlining the Italian marque’s impressive lineup. You can see the full list of 2014 models below, but first we’ll begin with two interesting omissions from the list: The Dorsoduro 1200 and Caponord. According to Aprilia, the Dorso 1200 won’t be coming stateside in 2014, while the Caponord will arrive later this year badged as a 2015 model.
