Aprilia Caponord Demo Tour To Reach 43 Cities

Aprilia has announced a coast-to-coast tour to showcase the capabilities of the new Caponord 1200 ABS Travel Pack. Beginning this Thursday, May 22, and running through through July 5, at one of Aprilia USA’s 43 participating dealerships, licensed riders can throw a leg over the Caponord and experience all that Aprilia’s latest adventure-tourer has to offer. The tour kicks off its west coast leg at GP Bikes in San Diego, CA and east coast leg in Belleville, New Jersey at Motorcycle Mall. 2014 WSBK Provisional Entry List – 27 Riders and 9 Manufacturers

The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) released a provisional entry list for the 2014 World Superbike Championship. The provisional list includes 27 riders riding motorcycles from nine different manufacturers. Of these riders, 12 are riding in the new EVO sub-category which limits engine upgrades and electronics to Superstock class rules.

You would think carrying a 30.5 point lead into the final round of the 2012 World Superbike Championship would be a safe enough margin to win the title. Aprilia‘s Max Biaggi made it interesting, inexplicably crashing out of the first race at the finale in Magny-C0urs before scoring a fifth place finish in Race Two to give him a 0.5 point margin over Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes to win the title. The 358 to 357.5 point difference is the narrowest finish ever in WSBK.
