Improving the monster: Aprilia will upgrade the RSV4 Factory sportbike
Wed, 06 Nov 2019The second generation of the Aprilia RSV4 sportbike will be released around 2021, but for now the company continues to upgrade this impressive motorcycle. As part of last year's modernization, the RSV4 Factory modification debuted with an engine that increased the capacity to 1078cc that can develop 217hp at 13,200 rpm and 122Nm and 11,000 rpm. Now, according to the current information, the monster will receive a semi-active Öhlins suspension and a new color scheme.

The Roman Emperor’s retirement after winning the 2012 World Superbike Championship marked the end of an era for Aprilia, with the 2013 campaign marking the first without Biaggi since the Italian manufacturer came back to the WSBK scene with the RSV4. If Aprilia misses its two-time WSBK Champion, it sure didn’t show it with a dominating display at the 2013 season opener in Australia.
Provisional 2012 World Superbike Championship Entry List Released
Wed, 18 Jan 2012The International Motorcycling Federation has released a preliminary entry list for the 2012 World Superbike Championship. The preliminary list includes 24 entries representing six manufacturers: Aprilia, BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki. Noticeably absent is Yamaha which announced last summer it would pull out of WSBK racing.
