Aprilia Falco description
This is a very nice 2001 Aprilia SL1000 Falco that I am wanting to sell. The Aprilia has only 10k miles. New rear tire, fresh oil and filter change. New Battery, only two weeks old. It is a Premium Power Sport battery with AGM Technology. It is still under warranty. The riding position is up, just a little, from a super-sport bike which makes it very comfortable to ride but still gives the look and feel of a super-sport. The good thing about that is the insurance is only about 1/3 the cost of a super-sport. The exhaust is from a 2011 Aprilia Tuono, and it sounds GREAT..The color looks orange in the images, but it is red. As red as the tail-lamps.The dash is unbelievable. There are five buttons that controls the functions. There is a (tattle tale) button that records and keeps your highest speed. A track button that will keep lap times. A trip button that keep miles and will give you your average speed of your trip. And more..The Falco's are a hard to find bike. Piaggio Reports Q3 2012 Results
Thu, 01 Nov 2012The Piaggio Group reported a 9.1% decrease in net sales over the first nine months of 2012 compared to the same period in 2011, thanks in large part to a strong decline in the European market for two-wheelers. According to Piaggio‘s third quarter 2012 report, the Italian manufacturer recorded 706.3 million euros (US$913.8 million) in motorcycle and scooter sales, compared to 777.2 million in sales over the same period of 2011. The Piaggio Group, which also includes the brands Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Vespa and other brands, sold 321,300 motorcycles and scooters in the first nine months of 2012, a year-on-year decrease of 3.5% from 2011.
Aprilia SR Max Touring Scooter Unveiled
Wed, 22 Jun 2011Aprilia has unveiled a new touring scooter, the Aprilia SR Max, available in 125cc and 300cc configurations. Okay, perhaps “new” isn’t the right word for it, as the SR Max is a rebadged version of the Nexus from Aprilia’s Piaggo Group stablemate, Gilera. It’s also not clear if Aprilia will import the SR Max to North America, but the scooter is more likely to pop up here, where Aprilia already offers the SR 50 scooter, with its new name, than it would as a Gilera.
