The Japanese oddity to naming teams
Wed, 28 Jul 2010Whenever the calendar shifts to a major Japanese race, such as the Suzuka 8hr, one of the more amusing things to do is glance down the team sheet This years highlight for me has to be team Moto Bum, with other stand outs including aprilia D.D.BOYS, Team Etching Factory Yamaha and MITO MOTO & e'freaks Honda. Looking back through the ages some of the great Japanese team names have been Burning Blood Racing Team, Dog Fight Racing and Team Moto Space amongst others. EICMA 2012: Aprilia RSV4 R Updated with ABS and Power Increase
Thu, 15 Nov 2012At October’s Intermot show in Cologne, Germany, Aprilia announced a number of upgrades to its RSV4 Factory, giving the sportbike more power, anti-lock brakes and a number of other updates. This week at the 2012 EICMA Show, Aprilia extended those updates to it’s slightly less upscale but still pretty damn good base model, the RSV4 R. The production versions of Max Biaggi‘s World Superbike Championship-winning racebike, the Aprilia RSV4 R (all-black in these pictures) and the RSV4 Factory (pictured with red trim) receive an engine upgrade to reduce internal friction and casing ventilation.
Aprilia Announce 2014 Model Range
Fri, 31 Jan 2014Aprilia has today released its 2014 model range, with the $20,499 RSV4 Factory APRC ABS headlining the Italian marque’s impressive lineup. You can see the full list of 2014 models below, but first we’ll begin with two interesting omissions from the list: The Dorsoduro 1200 and Caponord. According to Aprilia, the Dorso 1200 won’t be coming stateside in 2014, while the Caponord will arrive later this year badged as a 2015 model.
